Welcome!

Welcome!  Thank you so much for volunteering your time to the Lake Mary Marching Rams.  Whether your student is an incoming Freshman or a returning Sophomore, Junior or Senior, this is a Wonderful way to support your student and also watch them grow in the Performing Arts program at Lake Mary High School.   It’s an opportunity for you as a parent to see first-hand what is involved in the success of our students while at the same time meeting other parents.  We promise that this is an opportunity you will hold dear in your heart forever!

We are eager for you to feel comfortable accompanying the Marching Rams on their trips and activities. Overall information for Chaperones is listed on the Chaperone page. As the year progresses, the events change, as do our responsibilities.  We will do our best to keep you informed of your responsibilities as Chaperones.

For the most part, The Marching Rams are very mature and responsible.  The Band Director gives instructions and rules to the Marching Rams and the band leadership.  The band leadership is responsible for carrying out his instructions.  Our job is to assist in any way we can to ensure the safety of the students.

There are several activities in which the Marching Rams will be in need of Dividends throughout the  school year such as:  Band Camp, Afternoon/Evening Rehearsals, Football Games, County/District Festivals,  Parades, uniform fittings, hospitality, helping with equipment during games etc…

All Dividends must be registered as a dividend online with Seminole County Public Schools in order to chaperone the Marching Rams. Please register here

In your student's Registration Packet, there is a form that asks you which committees/jobs you are interested in. It is also linked on the Chaperone page. Please fill that out and turn it in. When we have a need for volunteers, we will contact you by email. You will email us back to let us know if you are available or not. It is that simple!

Thank you in advance for your commitment and support to the Marching Rams for the 2011/2012 school year. We can assure you that it will be an experience that you will treasure for a lifetime.
