Letters of appreciation to the Band Camp Chaperones
From Mr. Mitchell:
I just wanted to say
"Thank You" for all you do for the Ram
Band Program. The past two weeks were amazing from rookie camp to full
band camp. We could not be successful without a wonderful group of parents
who give of their time and talents to make things happen. The cookout was
great-thank you Mr. and Mrs. Burns for heading that...the shirts and Kona Ice as
well as all the treats for the camps-Thank you Mrs. Ward for championing this
part of camp. Chaperones were always there and very helpful...Mrs.
Davenport and Mr. Strange...THANK YOU TOO! And all the filming and
video...well...thank you as well Dr. Bhatia. There are many others that
work behind the scenes that I saw chaperoning or just there to help...your
presence was very much appreciated.
It is going to be a great year with terrific kids who
work very hard-GO RAMS!
From Booster President Julie Ward:
Band Parents,
Chaperones & Booster Board:
I want to take
this opportunity to extend a heartfelt
THANK
YOU!!! During the past two weeks of band camp, the countless
hours you donated and your dedication was greatly appreciated.
A huge THANK YOU!!!! to all the parents, siblings, and alumni who
helped prepare, cook, serve , and clean at the Band BBQ held on Friday, August
5th. Everyone pitched in and we were able to serve about 600 students and
their families hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixins'. Everyone enjoyed
their meal and the sneak peek of our marching show. Thank you to the
Quartermasters as well, for helping us haul away the huge bags of trash after
the event. We could not have such a wonderful event without the willingness of
our band family to pitch in and work together. It was definitely a job well
done!
Go Rams!
Last but not least, from Principal Mike Kotkin:
I want to express my gratitude to the entire Band Parent
organization for ALL that you did to support the Marching Rams and Mr. Mitchell
before, during, and after Band Camp. This is a huge effort that is
required and your combined efforts seemingly made the two weeks run smoothly.
I realize that this is just the beginning of your “band season” in many ways
however, getting band camp off to a great start is key to what this upcoming
football season’s responsibilities will be. I guess you could say in many
ways, this was a “warm-up” and trial-run for all of you as well.
I sincerely appreciate your time, energy, effort, sweat, and most
of all your commitment that you made and will make to the Marching Rams this
upcoming season.
Thank you for making Band Camp 2011 such an overwhelming success!
Respectfully,
Michael C. Kotkin
