Meet Laura Donikowski

It all began one spring day when young Laura was in eighth grade, and her friend dragged her to colorguard tryouts at Lake Mary High School. She took to it instantly. Before she knew it, Laura was in colorguard and her friend was not! That began her love of colorguard that has now brought Ms. D to LMHS as the new colorguard instructor.

Ms. D was  in colorguard with the Marching Rams during all four years at LMHS. During that time, she went to the WGI World Championships three times -- twice to Dayton, OH and once to San Diego. After graduation she wanted to continue with CG and  joined the Knights A colorguard squad, which includes non-Knight high school graduates. She has been the instructor for the 27th Parallel Independent A colorguard team, and took her team to the semi-finals in Dayton OH.

Ms. D has been in dance for 10 years and been a cheerleader for 2 years. She earned a degree in Elementary Education from UCF, and is an avid rock-climber. She likes to go indoor rock-climbing 4 times a week.

Ms. D is very excited about being a part of the Marching Rams again and contributing to the success of the program. One of her main goals is to help the group work as a team or unit, with everyone helping the others get better and more proficient.

We welcome Laura Donikowski back to Lake Mary High School, and wish her every success! You can send her a welcome message (or any message) here.
