Students are selected from a taped audition from throughout the state. These students are considered the best-of-the-best musicians in the state on their chosen instruments.
These students traveled to Tampa in January to participate under the baton of world renowned conductors. This is truly an honor for our school and we are very proud of their accomplishments.

Each year in December, The Florida State University School of Music sponsors a conducting clinic/conference for high school band directors and over 400 outstanding students. Mr. Mitchell sent in several names of some of our best players and four were chosen to represent our school this year. The Tri-State Conductor's Conference is in its 31st year and only one in three students nominated are selected for these honors groups.
Students from Georgia, Alabama and
Florida met in Tallahassee on December 1st - 4th and rehearsed
under the baton of many fine world renowned clinicians culminating with
a concert Sunday afternoon. They also attended the famous FSU Prism
Concert. Congratulations to these terrific Lake Mary Ram band students
