Tony Mayato, Director of Bands
The Director of Bands at Lake Mary High School is Mr. Tony Mayato.
Mr. Mayato is a Miami native who group up wanting nothing more than to be a band director. He attended college at The University of North Florida where he was an active performer and soloist with the UNF Wind Symphony, Jazz Bands, and Saxophone quartet.
After college, Mr Mayato spent 5 years at Winter Haven High School where he led the Marching Band, Concert Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble to various levels of success at both the district and state levels.
Mr. Mayato has been featured as a clinician at the Florida State University summer jazz camps.
Mr. Mayato currently holds memberships with the Florida Bandmasters Association, The National Band Association, and the North American Saxophone Alliance, and lives in Casselberry with his cat, Hank.
