Are you and your family a member of the LMHS PTA? If not, why not?
LMHS PTSA is working on helping our band program this year with the new RAM TOWER project. The more we do for them, the more they can possibly do for us. Please let's try to get 100% band membership!
PTSA is the largest child advocacy association in the nation. They have a powerful voice and have passed 30 legislative bills in Florida benefiting our children, for example:
Scroll down to membership and you may do it online (50 cent fee) or print out a form and hand it to the office.
MPA Schedule is in! We perform at 7:30 at Spec Martin Stadium on Saturday October 25th. We are very excited to be performing in the evening under the lights. We hope that all of you will be in attendance for a great day of Marching Bands from Volusia and Seminole Counties.
Times are as follows for October 25th:
Call time: 3:00pm-Possible Run-through
Depart LMHS: 5:00pm
Arrive SPEC: 5:45pm
Hang uniforms: 8:00pm
See final 2 bands:
Depart SPEC: 9:00pm
Arrive LMHS: 10:00pm
We need as many parents and fans as possible to attend this MPA. Come and cheer on the AMAZING LMHS MARCHING RAMS! Tickets for the MPA are $7.00 and are purchased at the gate. Tickets sold offset our assessment for all MPA and FBA events. So the more tickets sold, the less our annual assessment is. So, bring the entire family! So far we have sold about 200 tickets which almost pays for our buses.
Seminole County Marching Band Festival was an amazing event with all 8 Seminole County Marching Bands performing. After a short rehearsal, the kids were allowed to mingle with the other band students and just socialize with friends that they have not seen since middle school.
We received many great comments and really wowed the crowd. The comments from the band directors that we received will help us prepare for this week as we travel to Deland to Spec Martin Stadium for MPA.
If you have not already done so, please get your tickets or money back to me for SCMBF asap or your account will be charged for the cost of the tickets (which I do not want to do). But I need to have all tickets accounted for. We have 31 students who still have tickets out.
