PTSA Gives to the LMHS BAND
I would like to thank the Lake Mary PTSA and its president Deb Sisco for making a donation to our tower project at our faculty meeting on Wednesday, January 28th. Our PTSA at Lake Mary is one of the most supportive of any groups that I have ever been associated with in my 31 years as a PTSA member. As I sat in the audience and the PTSA leaders came to the podium, they made the announcement that they were giving to the arts. Each of the arts areas (Marionettes/Dance, Chorus, Drama and Art department) received a donation and when I was called up to the podium, I was given a check for $2000. I was shocked and humbled at their generosity. Please thank our PTSA for believing that we are an important part of Lake Mary High School. Below is a link to become a member of the our PTSA as well. It is only $7, and will make a huge difference having a supportive parent base as well.
The Band Banquet order form is attached. Please make sure that you turn it in with payment by the date due. The 34th Annual LMHS Band Awards Dinner is set for May 22 at the Westin Hotel. It is sure to be a great evening of fun and recognition of your children and their accomplishments throughout the year (or seniors, four years). Looking forward to seeing you all there. Click HERE for the form.
ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE ALL FEES PAID OR WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND
Senior Last Will and Testament
Each year at our annual awards banquet, we print in the program our senior farewells and last wills. Many seniors take advantage to give a positive word to the remaining underclassmen whom they have grown up with throughout the years. BUT many don't take the time to do this until it is too late. The banquet arrives and their goodbyes are not included. Please click on the tab below and fill out the form and email it to email@example.com to make sure yours is included. Deadline is THIS WEDNESDAY April 15th.

Are you and your family a member of the LMHS PTA? If not, why not?
LMHS PTSA is working on helping our band program this year with the new RAM TOWER project. The more we do for them, the more they can possibly do for us. Please let's try to get 100% band membership!
PTSA is the largest child advocacy association in the nation. They have a powerful voice and have passed 30 legislative bills in Florida benefiting our children, for example:

WAY TO GO GLMS, ROCK LAKE AND MARKHAM!
You would have been very proud of all three of our feeder middle school bands. Thursday April 9th at University High School, Markham Wood Advanced Band earned an Excellent rating at the District 6 MPA. On Friday April 10th Ms. Kinion and the GLMS Symphonic Band and Mrs. Waldo and the Rock Lake MIddle School Band traveled to University High School in Orange City and wowed the judges as they played very challenging programs. Both bands performed and were rated SUPERIOR both on stage and in Sight reading. I feel very fortunate to have such great feeders as Ms. Kinion, Mrs. Waldo and Mr. White.
